Decent Work and Economic Growth

One of the main consequences of teenage pregnancy is the early entry into the informal labor market.

Therefore, our strategy contemplates the technical training of adolescent mothers and their integration into the formal labor market. Thus, they are able to acquire decent, stable, and well-paid jobs that allow them to contribute to the social security system and access financial services, contributing to the country’s productivity and economic growth.

Also, we advise and fund entrepreneurship projects, and promote responsible employment policies in local businesses.

We are the main provider of skilled female labor in the pyramid base of Cartagena: per year, we insert 350 young women into the formal labor market. In the last 4 years, 1.346 beneficiaries obtained formal jobs thanks to the management of our Employment and Entrepreneurship Office.

Our actions are oriented to goals 8.3, 8.5, 8.6, 8.7, 8.8, and 8.9 of the DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH Sustainable Development Goal (SDG).
