We are committed to actively defending the fundamental human rights of the most vulnerable populations – especially children and women – and claiming the role of women in different areas of society.

In this sense, one of the main activities that we carry out annually is the Women Working for the World Conference, which arose from our commitment to the advancement of gender equality, and responds precisely to the need to expand our work in the promotion and protection of women’s rights.

Today, it is the biggest and most important platform for discussion and reflection on gender and sustainable social development issues in Colombia. Our main objectives are: to contribute and generate knowledge; to raise awareness of gender issues; to position the issues on the national public agenda; to identify best practices; to encourage the exchange of experiences and propose solutions; and to involve civil society.

Catalina is widely recognized as a social entrepreneurship leader and is a role model for young people. She is part of the Women Leaders in Global Health Fellow 2017 at Stanford University, as well as Ashoka and Schwab Foundation Fellow; she is a member of the Global Women’s March Board since early 2018; and has been invited as a speaker to multiple conferences around the world, including Georgetown University, Standard Chartered Bank, TEDWomen, Citibank, Aspen Institute, Fortune Most Powerful Women, UN Women, Nobel Peace Prize Summit and Babson College.
