In 2017, the Soymás Foundation opened its doors for 28 adolescent mothers in La Pintana, which has the highest poverty rate at the metropolitan level and a high adolescent pregnancy rate. There they receive, mainly, psychosocial attention, completion of studies and training in Culinary Arts, Hairdressing and Beauty or Customer Service and Attention; and their children are attended in the care rooms.

Soymás plans for 2020 to build a new headquarters, of 800 square meters, in the same area.

  • Of the total of those born in 2017, 8% are the son or daughter of a girl under the age of 19. The municipality of La Pintana, in the city of Santiago, shows the highest rate of teenage pregnancy: 17.3%.
