23 February, 2021Anniversaries always give us the opportunity to celebrate but also to tell the story of a journey. For the last 20 years, Juanfe has fallen in love with helping children, women, social progress, the country and making things as good as possible.
- In 20 years:
- We have directly impacted 245.564 people. Among them, teenage mothers in conditions of vulnerability and exclusion in the city of #Cartagena and #Medellín.

- Between 2005 and 2017, 204,063 patients – 20% of Cartagena’s total population – were treated at the Juan Felipe IPS Medical Centre.
- 20,587 patients have attended the Nutritional Recovery Programme since 2006; of these, 85% were children with chronic malnutrition and 15% adolescent mothers.
- 14,359 people attended our health brigades.
- In the last 5 years, we have introduced 2,034 young people into the labour market, being the #1 provider of qualified female labour at the base of the pyramid in Cartagena.
- 3,483 women and children beneficiaries within our programme for victims of the Venezuelan exodus.
- Juanfe Cartagena Social Complex: 13,000 square meters LEED Gold certified, with 5,000 square meters of native species, water recycling for self-sufficiency, production of more than 5,839 kWh/month of energy through solar panels.
- Our 360 Degrees model that eradicates poverty in young mothers and the social development model is replicated in Panama, Chile and Medellin. We are proud to have impacted 2,346 people in just two years of operation in Medellín.

“There’s so much more we could say! Juanfe has always been run as a company, but the real success is in the hearts of those we work to serve. I feel fortunate to hold the reins of this great dream, which is not just for 20 years, but for a lifetime. What nourishes this work is our passion and the rigour of trying to do the right things for our people, for those we work for, for those who deserve opportunities to break out of poverty. My purpose is to continue because although we know we have done a lot, we still need to touch the lives of so many women and children who are waiting for an opportunity” Catalina Escobar, President of the Juanfe Foundation.
Thank you all for these years, for supporting us in this purpose.
