‘Women Working for the World’ becomes a gender platform!
23 February, 2021Juanfe paves the way for social investment
23 April, 2021For 9 years we have been building this project to talk about gender equality, from a constructive and proactive point of view. On 8th April 2021, you can follow it through our platform ww4w.co.
The world made us reinvent ourselves and go digital. This new version of ‘Women Working for the World 2021’ will be virtual. More than 25 national and international speakers will meet on 8th April to talk about the experiences, challenges and changes that are being generated so that women continue to occupy spaces that, a few years ago, were unexpected.
What is the role of women on boards of directors? Gender equality: a struggle that does not distinguish between generations or borders; public policies that promote equality in Colombia, among others, will be some of the topics we will address.
We will have some great international guests this year: Dr. Agnes Binagwaho, former Minister of Health of Rwanda; Jacqueline Novogratz, founder and director of Acumen; Julieta Martínez, social activist and founder of the Tremendas movement; Mónica Esgueva, specialist in Mindfulness, and Pat Mitchell, co-founder, curator and presenter of TedWomen.
In addition, Juanfe’s 20 years of experience working for the young women of our country will be addressed in the panel “20 stories, 20 dreams” in which the young women from Juanfe will participate, and from our foundations in Chile and Panama. There will also be a conversation between the presidents of these foundations: Catalina Escobar (Juanfe), Bárbara Etcheberry, executive director of Fundación Soy Más, and Gisela Porras, president of Fundación Voces Vitales Panamá.
*Women Working for the World is organised by Fundación Juanfe, Ésika, Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá, Uber, Positiva, Weissberg Foundation, Coosalud, Terpel, Deloitte, Enel, Bancolombia, Esenttia and Acesco.
