My name is Wilmaris Martinez, I am 20 years old and I work as an Occupational Safety Technician. I remember my first day at Juanfe Foundation. My son Wilder Sair was 6 months old and I was 18 years old. I arrived with many fears and insecurities, and overall, frustration that I could not finish school and go to college. But the Foundation taught me that nothing is impossible, and that everything must be done with dedication. In my first semester I stood out for my effort on each of the classes and activities, and when I attended to the Teenage Mothers Extension Program- Phase II, I won a scholarship from Cedesarrollo Comfenalco (Colombian institution of Industrial Technical Programs) and I went to study Occupational Safety. I am happy and proud of my personal and academic growth. It was not simple; I was part time student and full time mom. Roles I accomplished with determination. After many efforts, several sleepless nights and early mornings, I fulfilled one of my greatest dreams: to be a professional and a mother, who daily attempts to give her best and give her child a decent life.
